We are looking for a dependable, motivated Warehouse Technician to join our team in Wood River, IL. This is a hands-on position that includes receiving and stocking inventory, pulling and shipping customer orders, building hose assemblies, and assisting with the day-to-day operation of the warehouse.
This is not just a forklift position. A key part of this role is learning how to build hose assemblies and becoming familiar with the tank truck and tank trailer parts we sell. We are willing to train the right person who is dependable, willing to learn, and works well as part of a team.
Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, label, and stock incoming inventory
Accurately pull, verify, package, and prepare customer orders for shipment
Build hose assemblies according to customer and company specifications
Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse
Assist with inventory counts and maintaining accurate inventory
Perform occasional local deliveries and pickups using a company vehicle
Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments
Work with sales and other departments to help ensure customers receive the correct products
Follow all company safety procedures and policies
Assist with other duties as assigned by the Branch Manager
Job Requirements
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Must be dependable and able to maintain regular attendance
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
Ability to complete forklift training provided by the company
Willingness and ability to learn hose assembly and other technical aspects of the position
Willingness to learn about the tank truck and tank trailer parts industry
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Attention to detail and a focus on order accuracy
Must successfully complete a pre-employment physical and drug screening, including THC testing
Preferred Qualifications
Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or inventory experience
Previous experience building hoses or working with hydraulic/pneumatic components
Experience in the trucking, heavy-duty parts, automotive, agricultural, or industrial industries
Familiarity with Karmak or similar inventory/ERP systems
Familiarity with UPS or FedEx shipping software
Basic computer skills
Previous industry experience is helpful, but not required. We are willing to train someone who has the right attitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn.
