As a result of the search warrant, evidence was recovered from the residence, police said. The evidence will be submitted to the Illinois State Police Crime Lab for further analysis and investigation.

At the conclusion of the investigation, the residence was posted as uninhabitable by the City of Wood River Building Inspector.

“Unfortunately, no community is immune to the dangers associated with illegal drug activity,” Chief Brad Wells said in a statement. “The Wood River Police Department remains committed to aggressively addressing illegal narcotics and protecting the safety and quality of life of our residents.”
