BETHALTO - 1st MidAmerica Credit Union recently awarded five $1,000 scholarships to local area high school graduates Arlie Hartmann, Isabelle Edwards, Josie Proctor, Kaylynn Buttry and Olivia Schneider.

Arlie Hartmann is a graduate of Alton High School. She plans to attend the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign to pursue a degree in Biology. Isabelle Edwards, a graduate of Civic Memorial High School, plans to attend Lewis and Clark Community College and earn a degree in Dental Hygiene. Josie Proctor is a graduate of Edwardsville High School. She plans to earn a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Mississippi. Kaylynn Buttry, an East Alton-Wood River High School graduate, plans to attend Greenville University to earn a degree in Exercise Science. Olivia Schneider is a graduate of Southwestern High School. She plans to attend Southern Illinois University Edwardsville to study Accounting.
