JERSEYVILLE – The Bounce Back short-term rehabilitation program at Liberty Village of Jerseyville has been helping recovering patients get back to living their best lives for two decades.

“If you have a fall, or you have a hip replacement or a knee replacement, our place is the place to come,” Marketing Director Lorie Hunter said. “We actually give you the therapy and the rehab that you need.

“We want everybody to be able to return back home and live their best life – sometimes it takes a week, sometimes it takes a month, but the whole purpose is to do the things that you enjoy most.”

Liberty Village hosted a celebration of the program’s continued success on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026. The event featured cookies from Silly Goose, cupcakes from Ginger Bean Bakery, a “grazing table” of snack selections from Amazing Grace and live music from Jon Evans of Tanglefoot.

Hunter said one of the most rewarding parts of the program is seeing patients return home after making a full recovery. Under the Bounce Back program, she said a little help can go a long way in patients’ lives.

“To see their smiles and going back home with their loved ones and with their family, it’s so wonderful to see that with some help and some good therapy, they can get back home to do everything that they love to do best,” she added.

In addition to the long-running program, Hunter said Liberty Village has many long-term employees who have become familiar faces to the people they help every day.

“Our staff is always here to help and take care of your loved ones, and what I think is best is that we have the same staff here that you’ll recognize when you come back,” Hunter said.

As 20 years marks a major milestone for Bounce Back, Hunter said she’s already looking forward to its future as the program stays true to its motto: “Rehab. Recover. Return Home.”

“I’m excited about the 20 years that we’ve actually been able to help the community, but what I’m mostly excited about is to give us another 20 more years,” Hunter said. “20 more years to our community and the surrounding communities to keep coming here so we can see people living their best life.”
