ALTON – Alton Police have charged two men with their latest domestic battery offenses after prior convictions.

Quintin L. Saulsberry, 25, of O’Fallon, Ill., was charged on April 16, 2026 with a Class 3 felony count of his fourth or subsequent offense of domestic battery.

Saulsberry allegedly knowingly caused bodily harm to a household or family member without legal justification on March 29, 2026. Charging documents note Saulsberry had previously been convicted of domestic battery on three prior occasions, including two in 2023 and one in 2022, each in Madison County.

Alton resident Tremaine E. Jackson, 35, was also charged with domestic battery in a separate case filed on April 14, 2026.

Jackson faces a Class 4 felony count of domestic battery, his second or subsequent such offense. He allegedly knowingly caused bodily harm to a household or family member on March 15, 23026 after previously been convicted of domestic battery in 2018, also in Madison County.

The Alton Police Department presented both of the latest cases against Saulsberry and Jackson, both of whom were ordered released from custody pending trial.

All individuals charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
