ALTON - The Alton School District Board of Education unanimously approved the appointment of Amanda Beiser as Assistant Principal at Alton Middle School for the 2026-2027 school year.

Mrs. Beiser is a proud graduate of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Learning Behavioral Specialist, as well as a Master’s degree in Educational Administration and Leadership.

She began her teaching career in the Alton School District in 2011 at Alton Middle School as a Special Education Teacher. During her tenure, she served as a PLC Leader and Administrative Intern. In 2024, she was promoted to Dean/Regulation Coach at Mark Twain, and in January 2025 she was appointed Principal.

Mrs. Beiser is widely recognized for her collaborative leadership style and her ability to build strong, positive relationships with students, staff and families. She consistently seeks out opportunities to grow as a leader, and her background in Special Education provides valuable perspective in supporting all learners.

Mrs. Beiser shared, “Although it is bittersweet to leave Mark Twain, moving back to Alton Middle School feels like coming home. I look forward to reconnecting with the incredible students and dedicated staff who make the school such a special place.”
