HAZELWOOD, Mo. - Tony’s Donuts & Cafe’s Hazelwood location suffered significant interior damage from a fire on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 2025, prompting the business to temporarily close the affected site while continuing operations at its Maryland Heights location.
The fire broke out at the Hazelwood shop, located at 6045 Howdershell Road, according to officials from the Robertson and Hazelwood fire departments, who responded to reports of a commercial structure fire that evening.

Firefighters arrived and witnessed heavy smoke and used a ladder truck to access the roof, cutting a ventilation hole to help contain the blaze. The interior of the building sustained smoke and water damage.
Fortunately, the fire occurred while the shop was closed for Christmas, and no staff members were present.
No injuries were reported. Fire officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
Tony’s Donuts & Cafe, a family-owned business that opened its first location in Maryland Heights on May 15, 1995, expressed shock and devastation over the incident.
“Our family is devastated and shocked, stuck in the thought of, ‘We never thought this would happen to us,’” the company said in a statement. The business thanked the community for its “overwhelming” support and said it would provide updates as the situation develops.
Meanwhile, customers are encouraged to visit Tony’s Donuts & Cafe’s Maryland Heights location at 11525 Dorsett Road, which remains open.
To assist employees affected by the closure, a GoFundMe page has been established to raise funds for lost wages. Danielle Badra is coordinating the fundraiser, which aims to support staff as the business navigates the aftermath of the fire.
