EAST ALTON – A man from East Alton has been released from custody pending a domestic battery charge in his latest Madison County felony case.

Justin C. Littleton, 40, of East Alton, was charged on Nov. 19, 2025, with his second or subsequent offense of domestic battery, a Class 4 felony.
On Nov. 18, 2025, Littleton allegedly struck a family or household member about the face and head with his hands. Charging documents state Littleton had previously been convicted of unlawful restraint in a prior Madison County case from 2017.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office presented the latest case against Littleton, who has since been granted pretrial release from custody with additional conditions.
Among the additional conditions of Littleton’s pretrial release are that he have no contact with and remain at least 500 feet away from the victim in this case at all times. He was also ordered not to enter the premises of a Carrollton address, not to possess any firearms while on pretrial release, and to surrender any firearms or Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) card in his possession to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.
All individuals charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
