The post said: “Skaters, BMX, Groms after 8 p.m. No car and truck nonsense. Show only. No alcohol. See you there.”

East Alton Police responded on social media on Tuesday afternoon, March 31, 2026: “While we fully support community gatherings, exercise, and lawful assemblies, Wilshire Village is not accessible to the public at this time. This is why there are still barrels in place to block the entrances.

“Also, groms, 4 wheelers, mini bikes, etc., are illegal within corporate limits. Our officers will enforce trespassing and/or traffic laws if needed, but we advise staying off the property, and no enforcement action will be needed.”
