GODFREY — The Godfrey Fire Department responded to a structure fire Sunday evening on the 900 block of Enos Lane.

Godfrey Assistant Fire Chief Tom Wills said firefighters were able to extinguish the fire using minimal water.

Multiple deputies from the Madison County Sheriff’s Department were also on the scene.
“No one was injured,” Wills said.
The Illinois State Fire Marshal was called in to investigate the cause of the fire.
