GRAFTON - At the regular City Council meeting on November 18, 2025, on behalf of the City Council, Mayor Morrow presented Grafton Police Officer Daniel P. Meredith with certificates recognizing his achievement as a certified instructor in both Basic Firearm Training and High-Risk Vehicle Stops.
“Officer Meredith is doing a great job and with this new instructor status, he is now able to train and certify our officers and others as well,” said Grafton police chief Dave Womack.

Mayor Morrow said, “We are proud of Grafton’s police force and are working to invest in our officers by adding these trainings to our annual budget.”
For the fifth consecutive year, Witches on the Water presented a very substantial donation to the Grafton veteran’s memorial (NMMA). Each year, the amount has increased and 2025 was no exception. Proceeds from the annual fundraiser held on October 18 totaled $19,076.90 after expenses and included $500 from Seed to Sewn, official event apparel and merchandise provider. This is an increase of almost $2,000 over 2024. Trebe Bradfisch, Jessica Hardwick and Deseray Hayes welcomed hundreds of costumed witches and warlocks for their eagerly awaited evening of Halloween fun. When rain threatened a washout, Ben and Trudy Allen opened the Loading Dock and hosted the event at no charge. Jessica expressed the their thanks to the Allens, to the town of Grafton, and to so many individuals like Brittney Weber who facilitated, supported and helped make WOTW 2025 a haunting success.
“Including this year’s donation, WOTW has contributed over $60,000 to the NMMA,” Trebe said.
“In accepting your most generous donation on behalf of the NMMA and the City of Grafton, we salute your amazing team for another remarkable evening of fun and memories. We are most grateful.”
