HARDIN - On Dec. 1, 2025, Sheriff Heffington issued several awards to honor Deputies from the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office and Illinois Conservation Police, and to show his appreciation.
Sheriff Bill Heffington is honored to have the staff that he does and is very proud of them for all they do for Calhoun County.
- Chief Deputy Zach Hardin received a letter of recognition and the Sheriff’s Achievement Award for his achievements through six years of service to Calhoun County, resulting in over 1,000 arrests, including over 500 felony counts; and for his proactive leadership initiatives which have enhanced operations and department capabilities.
- Deputy Zack Orr was awarded the Sheriff’s Achievement Award for his leadership and investigative accomplishments through thirteen years of service to Calhoun County, and for his assistance in training and support; providing CCSO with tools and capability to provide the highest level of public service.
- Deputy Nic McCall awarded the Sheriff’s Award for his outstanding performance and dedication to public safety. Deputy McCall has led the department in DUI arrests, and has also led the department in verbal warnings issued; in addition to providing life-saving aid to victims of multiple DUI related traffic crashes.
- Conservation Police Officer Jordan Roundcount received a letter of recognition and the Sheriff’s Service Award for his personal initiative and interdepartmental cooperation. On multiple instances, and on his own initiative, CPO Roundcount has assisted Calhoun County Deputies during high-risk traffic stops and other violent encounters.
