OSF OnCall regularly brings resources to Vitality in Godfrey. As a faith-based, pro-life pregnancy center, Vitality supports new parents and individuals experiencing unplanned pregnancies with free pregnancy and STI tests, free ultrasounds, parenting classes and more. Executive Director Jackie Dutie noted the importance of teaming up with groups like OSF OnCall to expand their services.
“With this partnership with OSF, there’s such a power in the community,” Duty said. “There’s something about those collaborations where we can lock arms and share resources and share knowledge and wisdom. I feel like there are so many out there that are hurting, so if they know that they can go to one and access many, there’s something powerful about that collaboration. It’s knowing that you’re not alone in this life, that you’ve got people and companies and organizations that want to help.”
Holly Woulfe, the digital health navigator for OSF’s Alton location, noted that the OSF OnCall program provides onsite care to those in need. OSF OnCall often sets up a table at Vitality with information about all of their programs. They can also help people understand how to operate MyChart, or they can connect you with other resources to remove barriers to healthcare.
OSF OnCall sometimes offers free onsite health screenings to adults over age 18. These basic screenings help people understand their health.
Woulfe shared that OSF has also introduced Chronic Condition Patient Monitoring, which allows patients with chronic conditions to track their health at home. This information is sent to OSF and a physician is notified of anything irregular. Woulfe believes this monitoring makes it possible to catch problems before they develop into bigger concerns.
Similarly, OSF has self-paced programs to help patients manage their mental health at home, and they have started a program for pregnant and postpartum individuals to provide 24/7 access to a healthcare professional. Those who are enrolled in the pregnancy program can reach out at any time with questions and concerns.
Woulfe believes these programs are valuable resources in the community. She is proud to partner with Vitality and extend the reach of OSF OnCall.
“It’s a blessing to be part of it, truly,” she said. “I feel like God has called me to serve others and be helpful, especially in those times of need and uncertainty, and I love doing it. The programs at OSF, it gives me that pathway, and partnering with all these wonderful organizations like Vitality, just working together to do that.”
Duty added that Vitality could use help from the community in their quest to help others. They are currently working toward a $100,000 capital campaign to replace their parking lot and update their nursing technology and security system.
Vitality is also gearing up for their annual Jingle and Bid auction, which runs from Nov. 24 to Dec. 4. This auction invites businesses to donate products or services that the community can bid on, and all proceeds benefit Vitality. Duty said that over 80 businesses were involved last year, and she hopes to welcome more in 2026.
She emphasized that the collaboration between groups like Vitality and OSF allows them to do more to help people, and she hopes more organizations and community members consider reaching out to support.
“It’s all confidential. They can feel free to come and see us,” Duty added. “We want to make sure that you know, in that time of crisis, you can come to us for a completely free, confidential appointment where you know you’re not going to be judged. You’re just going to be loved.”’
