Cynthia Bastholm

Cynthia M. Bastholm age, 70, of Edwardsville, Illinois passed away at 1:07 p.m. Monday, January 8, 2018, at Memorial Hospital in Belleville. She was born October 18, 1947, in St. Louis, Missouri the daughter of the late Arlie & Mildred Marie (Perkins) Shaneyfelt. Cynthia married Kenneth M. Bastholm on June 19, 1976, at the First Presbyterian Church in Edwardsville. Besides her husband she is survived 1daughter, Emily M. Bastholm of Edwardsville and 1 son, Robert A. Bastholm of Mays Landing, New Jersey; and 2 brothers, Larry B. Shaneyfelt and Allen C. Shaneyfelt, both of Wilson, North Carolina. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Edwardsville. She was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church Mariners and a former member of National Association of Retired Federal Employees. Cynthia enjoyed being a mom, traveling, and camping. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday, January 13, 2018, at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home. Services will follow at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. John Hembruch officiating. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.
