Denver L. Hardesty, Jr., 77, passed away at 12:40 am, Sunday, February 21, 2021, at his residence.
Born August 6, 1943, in East Alton, he was the son of Denver, Sr. and Louida (Cunningham) Hardesty.
A U.S. Army veteran, he was a driver for McDaniel s Transportation in Hartford before retiring.
On June 7, 1961, in Alton, he married Ruth Harshbarger. She survives.
Surviving also is a son, Allan (Laura) Hardesty of St. Charles, MO; and a sister, June Walker of Godfrey.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Visitation will be held from 12-2 pm, Wednesday, February 24 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.
Burial will be in Upper Alton Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials are suggested to the family for expenses.
