Eunice Baker

Eunice Jewel Baker, 85, of Edwardsville, Illinois, and formerly of Dalton, Georgia passed away at 2:45 p.m. on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.

She was born April 5, 1936, in Cairo, Georgia. She cherished her family and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with them.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Odell Baker; mother, Gladys Pyles; son, Ricky Baker; great-grandson, Noah Baker and siblings, Danny Pyles, Betty McGuire, Bobby Pyles, and Tooster Pyles.

She is survived by four sons and three daughters-in-law, Shane and Crystal Baker of Holiday Shores, Illinois, Stanley and Regina Baker of Dalton, Georgia, Mark and Tara Baker of Rockyface, Georgia and Rodney Baker of Resaca, Georgia; a daughter and sons-in-law, Evelyn and Jerry Quinn of Resaca, Georgia; twenty grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren; a brother and sister in law, David and Connie Pyles of Cairo, Georgia; nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends.

In celebration of her life, visitation will be at the Shawn Chapman Funeral Home, 2362 Highway 76 in Chatsworth, Georgia on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. where funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 17, 2022, with Reverend Lamar Patton officiating. Burial will follow at the West Hill Cemetery in Dalton.
