Frederick A. Redd II, 58, died at 3:37 a.m. Thursday, October 25, 2012 at his home in Godfrey. Born May 14, 1954 in Alton, he was the daughter of Frederick Arthur and Virginia Pauline (Stahl) Redd. He worked as an electrician for IBEW Local 649 in Alton since October 1974 and served as president of the IBEW for 15 years. He was wonderful at rehabbing homes and was a loving husband and all around great guy. On August 14, 1987 in Edwardsville, he married Kim Redd. She survives. Also surviving is a brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Carol Redd of Alton, a sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Bill Phelps of Destrehan, LA , his cat, Louie and his dog, Ruby. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary Bell. No services are scheduled. Memorials may be made to The Siteman Cancer Center Multiple Myeloma Division.
