Jewell Jennings

Jewell L. Jennings, 57, died at 2:40 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Alton Memorial Hospital. Born October 8, 1960 in Alton, she was the daughter of Edna Rose. She married James Blair Jennings on February 4, 1986. He preceded her in death on April 3, 2002. Surviving are three daughters, Krystle Leverett (Kawliga) of Cottage Hills, Melissa Jennings of Cottage Hills, and Misty Rose of East Alton, one son, Jack D. Jennings of Cottage Hills, 11 grandchildren, a brother, Brad Whitehead of Alton, and her significant other, James Smith of Cottage Hills. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 19, 2018 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton with burial will follow at 12:45 p.m. at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
