Judith Young

Judith K. Young, 67, died at 3:25 p.m. Thursday, April 23, 2015 at her home in Godfrey. Born November 12, 1947 in Alton, she was the daughter of Loyd and Velma (Buhse) Cochran. Judith was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton. In 2012 she retired as a registered nurse for Christian Hospital Northeast after 10 years of service. Surviving are three daughters, Tina Brumley (Dan) of Alton, Melissa Ballhurst (Robert) of Blue Springs, MO, and Darlene Young of Alton, seven grandchildren, Cody and Amber Brumley, Kristin Ballhurst, Justin, Dylan, Alicia, and Ryan mason. Also surviving are three brothers and three sisters. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, April 27, 2015 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Funeral services and burial will be private.
