Lori B. King Thompson, 57, of Granite City, IL, passed away at 4:10 a.m. Thurs. Mar. 3, 2022, at South Lawn Shelter Care in Bunker Hill, IL.
She was born on Mar. 19, 1964, in Joliet, IL to Nelson C. King of Granite City and the late Betty (Fitzer) King.
Lori loved bingo and listening to classic rock on KSHE95, especially Led Zeppelin. She loved her family, friends, and her cat, “Alice”. Lori had received her Associate degree from B.A.C. and became an LPN. She was of the Baptist faith and had professed her salvation in Jesus Christ.
In addition to her father, she is survived by 4 brothers: Jon (Mary Jo) King of St. Louis, MO, Jay King of Glen Carbon, IL, Jac (Rita Ann) King of Edwardsville, IL, and Jol (Karol) King of O’Fallon, MO; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her mother, she was preceded in death by a sister: Lu Ann Lear; and a sister-in-law: Valerie King.
