William P. Pratt, 74, passed away at 9:26 am, Tuesday, November 12 at his residence.
He was born in Granite City, IL on January 23, 1939, the son of late William P. Pratt Sr. and Glenna (Downs) Pratt Townsen.
He married Betty Grunwald on December 15, 1961 in Chino, CA. She survives.
William worked as a tool and die maker for over 42 years at General Dynamics in California and Owens Brockway in Godfrey, where he retired as a tool engineer. He was a US Navy Veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; a daughter, Michelle (Quentin) Marley of Yucaipa, CA; two grandsons, Ryan and Denny Williams; and mother, Glenna Townsen of Caseyville, IL.
He was preceded in death by his father, William.
Visitation will be from 1 pm until time of service at 2 pm on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Elias, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey, IL with Reverend David Crowley officiating.
Cremation rites will follow.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
