About the GWOT Wall of Remembrance
The GWOT Wall of Remembrance is the ONLY traveling Memorial Wall paying tribute to those who gave the Ultimate Sacrifice from the bombing of the Marine Barracks in Beirut, Lebanon through the withdrawal of forces from Afghanistan in 2021. With this Traveling Memorial, we Remember those who were tragically killed in the events of 9/11 – the Twin Towers, the planes, and the Pentagon. This experience has brought memories and closure to countless Veterans and Gold Star Families as well as those families and First Responders impacted by the attacks on 9/11. This Memorial is operated and maintained by fellow Veterans and First Responders. Many of our Veterans served in combat, having a personal connection to the Memorial Wall, having an understanding of the loss and equally the memories that flood back when witnessing and interacting with the Memorial.
