Every fall, history comes alive in Wood River, Illinois, at the Camp Dubois Fall Rendezvous. Held the fourth full weekend of October at the reconstructed Camp Dubois site, this annual event transports visitors to the early 1800s, recreating the spirit of the mountain man and fur trade era. Come talk with folks who like to recreate history. Watch the black powder shoots. Shop with the vendors. Check out the clay ovens and try some fresh baked bread. Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm and Sunday from 9 am to 2 pm.
