The Riverbender Building in Downtown Alton will celebrate its 100th anniversary Oct. 24 at 10 a.m. with a special reception in the first floor atrium at 200 W. Third St.
Built in 1925 as the First National Bank & Trust Company, the building showcases early 20th century commercial architecture and has adapted to serve various community needs over the years.
The celebration honors distinguished tenant, Robert Ryan, a World War II veteran and prominent local attorney with a 75-year legal career, known for his integrity and mentorship in the legal community.
