Learn how to photograph large birds such as Trumpeter Swans, Eagles, Geese and other Winter Birds. The first hour of the class will be a power point presentation indoors at the Audubon Center at Riverlands to learn photo techniques and settings. Information will be provided about typical location of these birds in the area. Students receive handouts with all the information.
You must bring your camera ( not a cell phone). The camera should allow for manual settings - it can be a bridge camera, DSLR or Mirrorless. Bring the longest lens you have 400-600mm if possible. Lenses with shorter focal lengths can be used but you may not get the desired results - however, you can still learn the techniques.
