Age groups for both contests:
Group 1: Ages 9-12
Group 2: Ages 13-15
Group 3: Ages 16 and up
Age groups may be adjusted depending on the number of entries.
Watermelon Eating Contest
Contestants will be given a quarter of a watermelon to eat. The contestant to eat down to the rind first is the winner.
Seed Spitting Contest
Pick a seed from the official Seed-Spitting Watermelon and step up to the line to see just how far you can spit it! (Bounces count!)
There is a $5.00 entry fee for each contest. Prize ribbons will be awarded to the winners in each age group. Additional prizes may be awarded.
